Talk about a blazing start! Propelled by what may be the fast goal scored in Hope soccer history, the Flying Dutch remained unbeaten in league play (3-0) behind a 4-1 victory over host Olivet on Tuesday.
The Flying Dutch were on the scoreboard just 20 seconds into the game when Danielle Petzak scored from five yards out off a pass from Alyson Epolito. The Flying Dutch led 2-0 at halftime and added two goals in the second half to extend their winning streak to four in-a-row.
Other goals were scored by Cara Johnson, Lindsey Bieri and Lindsay Jipping. Also credited with assists were Tricia Bajema, Cara Johnson and Rachel Doud. Goalkeeper Megan Altieri was credited with five saves.
